Networks Financial Institute Accepting Applications for 2007 Networks Scholars

(Indianapolis, September 12, 2006) — Networks Financial Institute at Indiana State University is accepting applications for 2007 Networks Scholars. The Scholars program provides incoming Indiana State University freshman pursuing a degree in the financial services arena with a holistic scholarship experience that includes $20,000 in tuition, professional mentoring, a wireless laptop, a paid internship and international learning experience. 

Applications will be accepted through December 1, 2006. Applicants must be admitted to Indiana State as a full-time incoming freshman for fall 2007; major in one of the academic programs offered by Indiana State’s College of Business with the intent to pursue a career in the financial industry; have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.25 or higher with a ranking in the top third of his or her high school class; score at least 1000 on his or her SAT or at least 21 on the ACT; and have demonstrated leadership success.

“Since the introduction of the Networks Scholars program in 2003, more than $1 million in scholarships have been awarded, Networks Scholars have traveled to the world’s leading financial centers and many will begin their professional careers upon graduation this spring,” said Liz Coit, executive director of Networks Financial Institute.
